This is a picture of Sadie and I during the fall season while taking a walk in the back 40. She is a spirited mixed breed and is 11 years old. We rescued Sadie from a puppy mill that was busted by the authorities for neglectful behavior’s against the animals by the owners. That was the day that I saved a dog. Ever since, it is Sadie that has, and continues to save my life on a daily basis. She has a way of knowing when I am having a bad day, mainly due to my PTSD and all the related side effects that accompany this aggressive and intrusive medical condition. She will wonder over to me and place her head on my lap or she will simple just lay down on me and rest her head on my chest. She is a great K-9 Companion for me and has a way of calming me down, letting me know that I am never alone. She is my fire team partner.
